Guideline 2.1: app completeness

This is the highest-volume rejection category there is. Apple's 2025 Transparency Report attributes 1,354,418 rejections to Performance — more than three times the Design section.

From 2.1(a): "We will reject incomplete app bundles and binaries that crash or exhibit obvious technical problems." If your app has a login, you must supply working demo account credentials. A built-in demo mode is permitted only "with prior approval by Apple."

Install the exact build you are submitting on a device that has never run your project, on a network that cannot reach your dev machine, signed in with the demo credentials you put in App Store Connect. Most 2.1 rejections are a build that was never opened that way before it was submitted.
